Forever21 Wishlist for Spring

Fringed Lace Tank $15.80.
Fringe Tops are so cute, and bohemian looking! This top is adorable, and looks like something you'd find in Urban Outfitters. I love the cream color
Pleated Woven Skirt $19.80
I not sure if I'm loving this mustard color, but I've been looking for a really cute high waisted shirt to wear to compliment my crop tops and blouses.

Flowy Top $17.80
This is just a really pretty, blush colored top. I love baggy and flowy shirts because lets face it, sometimes my stomach fat sticks out a bit after a big lunch.... This would look really pretty with some long statement gold necklaces.

These shoes are adorable, and will be great for spring. I can see myself wearing these babies with floral dresses and highwaisted shorts.

Uggs... worth the price?

I wanted Uggs ever since the 6th grade. Everyone had them, and I thought they looked adorable. But my mom said they were UGG-LY, and NOT WORTH the hefty price. They are $150-$200 I think... depending on which shoe you buy.
But this year, (6 years later), She finally caved in and bought me brown classic short ugg boots....

I LOVE THEM.
Yes, they are not the prettiest shoe out there.. and they are pretty expensive for a not-the-best-quality shoe... but when I put my feet in them, they FEEL LIKE HEAVEN. They are so soft and comfortable... I feel like I'm walking on a cloud.
I've been wearing them every single day.... They do get extremely hot if you dont wear socks.. and if it's a warmer day (I dont understand people who wear these boots in the summer-time...). Also, I would reccomend wearing socks with this shoe becasue it can easily get smelly if you dont.

So, the question.. Are Uggs worth the price? I guess it depends on the person, but personally I think they are TOTALLY worth it. They're not the most fashionable thing on the planet, but they are OH SO COMFORTABLE. <3.. I will definetly be enjoying these shoes this winter season.

A Review: Maybelline Cream Eyeshadow

I adore cream products. So i picked up this cream eyeshadow trio from the drugstore, and I love it! This one is in Rose Revolution, and it comes with three beautiful colors. The first one is a sparkly champange color, and reminds me alot of Bare study paint pot by Mac. The second one is this beautiful golden, rosey, orangey sparkly color, similar to Mac's rubenesque paint pot (is that how you spell it? :P) The third color is a dark brown with a reddish hue to it.
This palette is perfect for everyday. You have your highlight color, lid color, and a deeper color to use as a liner, crease color, etc.
The texture is a little hard, I must admit. It's not the creamiest product out there. Also, it easily creases... so i wouldnt use it as a crease color if your prone to creasing. But as lid colors, I think they're great.
I'd rate this product a B+.

Update: Nina Dobrev's makeup

So, on my last post about Elena Dobrev's makeup, I said that she seems to only be wearing mascara and eyeliner. However, she actually does wear eyeshadow and blush.

Isnt she gorgeous? (:

The Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) makeup tutorial

1. Base Makeup:  Apply primer, and a foundation that matches your skin perfectly. Set with a translucent powder. You want your skin to look flawless, but natural. Elena doesnt sport the "cake face" look. I reccomend the Neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup..... its medium coverage, natural looking foundation.

2. Eyes: Prime eyes with a eyelid primer to make your eyeshadows appear more vibrant (like Urban Decay primer potion). Take a matte skin colored eyeshadow and apply on your lids. (like naked from the Urban Decay Naked Palette, or a face powder in your skin color). Then take a medium brown color (like Buck from the Urban Decay Naked Palette) and apply naturally into the crease. You don't want to make the crease color look obvious, but apply very softly and make sure to blend.

Smudge a brown eyeliner on the upper lash line and on the outer part of the lower lash line. Revlon colorstay eyeliner is pretty good.

Curl eyelashes and apply a lengthening mascara. (Nina has said her favorite mascara is Covergirl Lashblast) You can apply individual lashes if you want the full lash look Nina has (by the way, those are her real eyelashes.. im jealous... )

3. Blush
You want to choose a very natural, matte blush color. If you have pale skin, choose soft and light pink colors. If you have medium skin, choose rosy toned blushes. Dark skin looks good with deeper plum toned blush colors. I love this maybelline cream blush in soft plum.

4. Finish off the look with a rosy lipcolor. You want to dab this one on, and blend out with your finger. I love Revlons colorburst lipstick in rosy nude. Its not really a nude color, its like a rose-pink color.

Wishlist 2012

Here are a few things I've been eyeing lately...

1) Dior Diorshow lash maximizer lash plumping serum

Lately, I've been really into super long and defined lashes. However, mascara is really bad for my lashes and has been making them brittle and short. I read really good reviews on this produce on makeupalley.com, and it supposedly makes your lashes grow longer and also keeps them healthy. Exactly what I need! The only thing is that this mascara costs $30. I mean, it is Dior.. so I wasnt expecting it to be cheap... I'm going to have to save up for this one.

2) Dior Addict Lippolish

Yep, another Dior product. I love their lip products! I know I could probably get the same lip-gloss from the drugstore, but the packaging on this baby is just so darn pretty! I think it looks so classy and pretty...
This one is $30 too... sigh....

3) NYX cream blush

Its not fair because I cant find these things ANYWHERE in new york. I've heard great things about them, how theyre super creamy and pigmented. Latley, I've been obsessed with cream blush. They're so easy and simple to put on, as well as being very natural looking. Unlike the Dior products, these products are relativley cheap.. I think they run for about $5-7.

4) Jeggings from Hollister

Damn those girls have nice stems... lol
Hollister leggings are THE BEST. They look like jeans, but they're super comfortable and stretchy. I own a pair, and I wear them almost everyday... haha, kind of gross.. but I just love them so much. I definetley need to buy another pair....

beauty soup (inspired by fuzkittie)

I LOVE SOUP. soup has got to be my favorite food in the world. I love it pipping hot, so it slides down your mouth and warms up your stomach. the perfect thing for a really cold day.
So, latley i've been watching alot of fuzkittie on youtube, and was really intrigued by her beauty soup video. I tried it out, and it was deeeleciousss.
Heres what I did:

1. Boiled water in a pot, put in a few bay leaves for flavor.
2. chopped up one carrot, 3 small potatoes, half an onion, 3 mushrooms, and one tomato.
3. put everything into the pot when the water boiled.
4. Let everything boil on high heat for about 10 minutes
5. added about 3 spoonfulls of miso paste (can be bought in asian super markets), as well as salt and pepper.
6. stirred the soup, and tasted. added a little more seasoning.
7. let everything boil for about 5 minutes.
8. added brown rice
9. ate it!  (:

it was really quick and easy, as well as delicious! if your interested in fuzkitties video, look here --------> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh8i8mcajgM

Great Lash (lots of lashes) mascara

Its been a while since I've done a review, and todays product is the Great lash (lots of lashes) mascara by maybelline.
I saw this in target for about $5, and was instantly drawn in by the cute packaging. I have tried the original great lash mascara (and hated it), and was hoping that this mascara would be alot better due to the new rubber brush. I have to say that it is an improvement from the terrible great lash mascara, but this mascara still isnt the amazing product I was hoping to discover.

CONS:
- The brush, although very cute, is too small and is also awkward to manuever.
- I find that it makes my  lashes quite clumpy
- it takes a very long time for me to put on mascara, compared to my lashblast which takes me seconds.
- gives no volume

PROS
- doesnt smudge on me
- makes lashes very lengthened
- CHEAP!!

I am not very fond of this mascara, and I will not be purchasing it again. I would rate this a C+ just because it is a decent mascara that does it's job, but its not AMAZING. the clumpiness is not appreciated as well.
